Here are some of the amazing promises that reveal the heart
of our Lord Jesus about prayer:
"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask
whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this,
that you bear much fruit." John 15:7-8
"You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed
you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that
whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. This I command
you, that you love one another." John 15:16-17
Here are some things you can be praying for us as we prepare
for our trip to Brazil:
- That
the Lord would give us divine appointments every day and be leading those
who decide all our activities.
- That
through us, He would greatly bless our brothers and sisters in Christ whom
we are partnering with who are already there.
- That
we would have safety in travel.
- That
the Word of the Lord would bear much fruit. (2 Thess. 3:1)
- That
people would be ready to receive the seeds of the Gospel. (Matthew 13)
- That
God will bring the people He has prepared to the concerts to hear His
Word.
- That
Christ's joy would be in us and our joy would be made full. (John 15)
- That
we would have humility, gentleness, patience, and tolerance for one
another in love: being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the
bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:2-3)
- That
our Heavenly Father would do great things that only He can do in the lives
and minds of the people we will meet - to draw them to Himself, to teach
them spiritual truth, and to show them His great love for them.
- That
we would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading. That when we see we
are about to quench Him, we would look to Christ and worship and imitate.
(1 Thess. 5:19)
- That
the peace of Christ would rule in our hearts as we encounter
less-than-comfortable situations and get to practice flexibility. :-)
- That
He would give us wisdom in the things we say and do.
- That He would give us excellence as we create music.
We'll post an itinerary soon.
